Toula is a spotted wildcat companion and a potential Animal Familiar that Melinoë encounters in Erebus at the docks between the City of Ephyra and the Rift of Thessaly.

Characteristics and Personality

Toula is some kind of small wildcat, perhaps a serval or a caracal. She is blonde with white paws and sparse, black spots on her back. Her tail has black and white stripes, and her oversized ears have black tips. The spots on her face resemble eyebrows, and she has a white snout. Her green eyes match the green trim and tassel on her collar, which is orange with two silver moon-shaped pendants.

Her willingness to attack enemies much larger than her suggests that she is daring and courageous. Like most cats, she has an affinity for sleeping and lying about.

Affinity

After using the Faith of the Familiar Spirits Incantation, Melinoë can offer Toula a Witch's Delight, allowing her to be used as a familiar. When Toula is equipped, she rests somewhere in the encounter arena until Melinoe sprints past her, which wakes her. Toula will then deal 99 damage to a nearby foe and cannot be used again until she returns to a resting position. She also provides the player with an additional Death Defiance.

She has a gathering tool function, allowing the player to catch fish without the Fishing Rod, skipping the minigame entirely.

Bonds

After the initial Witch's Delight used to unlock her as a companion, further offerings can be used to strengthen bonds which make both of you stronger while together.

• Heart Bond: effects from Toula restore 10/20/30/40 Health.
  > Bonus Death Defiance: 1
• Soul Bond: While together, gain +0/25/50/75% chance to manifest Fishing Points.
• Claw Bond: Toula strikes 1/2/3/4 time(s) before losing interest.

Trivia

• She is the second animal Melinoë has the option to turn into a familiar and equip.
• Although the one that's more associated with witchcraft is the black cat, the fact Toula is a cat might still stern from this.
• γατούλα (gatoúla) means small cute female cat in Greek and it's from where the name Toula originates.
