Silver Spade

The Silver Spade is one of four Gathering Tools Melinoë can access from the Silver Pool. It is used to acquire seeds from Digging Spots both in the Underworld and on the Surface.

As with all Gathering Tools, the Silver Spade becomes available after completing the Night's Craftwork incantation at Hecate's Cauldron. As of Early Access, the Spade can be upgraded once to Rank II after completing the Greater Favor of Gaia incantation. At Rank II, it grants Melinoë 1 upon gathering, once per night.

Seeds gathered with the Silver Spade can be planted in Melinoë's garden in the Crossroads to produce various crops. Once harvested, crops are most commonly used in Incantations or sold to the Wretched Broker. They can also be used for unlocking or upgrading certain Arcana Cards and Nocturnal Arms.

• Nightshade Seeds in Erebus
• Cattail Seeds in Oceanus
• Wheat Seeds in the Fields of Mourning
• Poppy Seeds in Tartarus
• Origin Seeds in Chaos Gate
• Garlic Cloves in the City of Ephyra
• Mandrake Seeds in the Rift of Thessaly
• Olive Branches in Mount Olympus
• Plankton in The Summit
• Mystery Seeds in any of the above Regions (random chance)

Each node will produce 2 of its material before it is exhausted.

Animal Familiar

After recruiting Hecuba as a Familiar, equipping her grants access to her special ability, Earth Bond. This ability enhances her utility as a Gathering Tool by increasing the chances of Digging Spots appearing during a run.
