The Rift of Thessaly is a region on Melinoë's travel to Mount Olympus. The rift was created by Poseidon when he flooded the land to prevent the armies of Chronos from reaching Olympus. Unfortunately, this only helped Chronos as his armies could now use the rift to travel faster to their destination. With their armada of Undead warships, the forces of Chronos sail to reinforce the siege of Mount Olympus.
The following region is Mount Olympus.
Book of Shadows Entry[]
'The witches of Thessaly had better learn to swim, given what Poseidon has done to the region. This water channel cuts straight from Ephyra to the base of Mount Olympus. Convenient for a naval assault, but also convenient for you.'
Description, Society and Culture[]
- The Rift of Thessaly is a flooded battleground in Hades II, created when Poseidon submerged the land to block Chronos' armies from reaching Mount Olympus. Ironically, this backfired, as Chronos' forces now use the undead warships in the Rift to travel faster.
- The Rift was once part of Thessaly, a region known for its witches and mystics, but now it is a chaotic war zone. The waters are filled with hostile forces, including Charybdis and the Yargonaut, making it one of the most dangerous locations in Melinoë's journey.
- Despite the destruction, the Rift still holds powerful allies. Circe, the enchantress, offers magical enhancements, while Icarus provides experimental inventions to aid Melinoë. The region's culture reflects its dual nature—a place of ancient magic and modern warfare, where survival depends on strategy and strength.
