Odysseus[]
Melinoë[]
Heracles[]
Polyphemus seems to fear Heracles, knowing that confronting him would end up fatal for him.
Medea[]
Poseidon[]
Despite having been tricked by Poseidon to make him think he was his father, he seems to hold no grudge against him as he still makes himself look like him to "keep up appearance"
Hestia[]
After Melinoë’s encounters with Polyphemus, Hestia recalls exactly how he lost his eye, expressing a brief, almost pitying feeling for him because her fire played a crucial role in it. Ultimately, however, she sees him as capable of managing on his own, albeit clumsily or in ways that disrupt Melinoë’s progress.
