Early Access Patch 019 - May 9, 2019

This patch contains a number of fixes and improvements prompted by initial feedback about the Beefy Update we released earlier this week. Thank you for your enthusiastic response, and may the Fates be kind to you in Elysium!

General Gameplay[]

  • Increased base effect of Poms of Power on many Boons
  • Reduced Wrath Gauge build-up at higher damage outputs
  • Slightly reduced Chaos Gate appearance rate

Boons & Blessings[]

  • Static Discharge (Zeus): increased damage
  • Tidal Dash (Poseidon): increased damage
  • Titan Toppler (Athena): reduced duration of invulnerability
  • Blinding Flash (Athena): increased damage bonus
  • Curse of Longing (Ares + Aphrodite): cut from game (due to a balance issue we're still investigating)
  • Unhealthy Fixation (Aphrodite): reduced chance of charm effect; can now affect the Furies
  • Black Out (Dionysus): increased damage bonus
  • Soul (Chaos): increased health bonus

Daedalus Hammer Upgrades[]

  • Empowering Nova (Blade): reduced chance of Critical damage
  • Multi Skewer (Spear): redesigned; hits up to 7 foes, successively dealing more damage
  • Exploding Launcher (Spear): increased damage
  • Vicious Skewer (Spear): increased damage
  • Explosive Return (Shield): reduced radius and damage

Foes & Encounters[]

  • Archer Trap: increased damage
  • Phoenix Urn: increased damage
  • Exalted Soul: any effects that activate on-death should now occur when they respawn with weapons
  • Exalted Greatshield: reduced autoblock angle (making them easier to hit from the flank)
  • Skull-Crusher (Elite): increased health, damage, and speed; only appears in Megagorgon encounter
  • The Minotaur: increased speed and damage of Bull Rush; other minor changes
  • Theseus: reduced autoblock angle; no longer blocks while using his Wrath; no longer blocks Blade Rifts or Lightning Bolts; now attacks more frequently and retreats less frequently

  • Updated the Boon Info screen to show fewer empty slots
  • Further improvements to low health feedback on the life gauge
  • Minor text fixes and other changes

Music & SFX[]

  • Improved timing of audio feedback as Wrath effects are expiring
  • Various minor SFX changes and improvements

Voice & Narrative[]

  • Fixed an issue where the Fallen Warrior could be given Ambrosia before learning his name
  • Added an alternate conversation branch with the Fallen Warrior
  • Updated requirements for some narrative events
  • Fixes and tuning to some contextual voice events

Bug Fixes[]

  • Fixes to rare crashes
  • Fixed an issue where Exalted Souls could sometimes fly out of bounds in Elysium
  • Fixed a rare issue where Nemean Chariots could spawn in the House of Hades (don't ask...)
  • Fixed a rare issue where Gorgon projectiles could hit you after defeating the Minotaur
  • Fixed an issue where the Minotaur's attacks could make him wall-slam himself
  • Fixed an issue where Wrath Boons could sometimes be earned prior to a specific introductory event
  • Fixed damage numbers not showing from Primordial Chaos curse effects
  • Fixed Asphodel lava puddles sometimes causing backstab damage
  • Added missing caption text for some Lord Hades voice lines
  • Other minor fixes
