Nightmare is a reagent and an endgame currency used to upgrade Melinoë's Nocturnal Arms.
Nightmare is a requirement for every Nocturnal Arms upgrade past Rank I, with the exception of the Aspects of Melinoë, which don't require any . Fully upgrading any normal aspect costs 7 but Hidden Aspects cost 9; upgrading all aspects to their max rank costs 142 .
Obtaining Nightmare[]
The main source of Nightmare is through the completion of Testaments, high difficulty challenges offered by the Oath of the Unseen shrine.
Nightmare can also be obtained in the following ways:
- Completing the following Prophecies:
- Arcana of the Ages (awards 5
) - Melinoë, Help Us (awards 3 ) (as of Early Access, cannot be completed)
- Arcana of the Ages (awards 5
- Purchased from the Wretched Broker for 1,000 each (becomes available after Melinoë receives her first )
- Sometimes offered by Charon in the final room of Tartarus for 1,300
- Sometimes offered by Hermes in the final room of The Summit for 1,300
- Offered through Charon's Stash for 5
