Family[]
Aphrodite[]
Aphrodite: Hephaestus's wife.
Hephaestus is married to Aphrodite. She laments to Zagreus that they spend little time together due to his work, though the way she says it makes it sound more like an excuse created on the spot than the actual truth, which is most likely her cheating nature.
Hera[]
Hera: Hephaestus's mother.
Zeus[]
Zeus: Hephaestus's father.
Ares[]
Ares: Hephaestus's brother.
Athena[]
Athena: Hephaestus's half-sister.
Artemis[]
Artemis: Hephaestus's half-sister.
Apollo[]
Apollo: AHephaestus's half-brother.
Hephaestus perceives Apollo as embodying the qualities Hera had hoped for in a son ā socially adept and fitting for society. Despite Apollo's persistent attempts to draw him out of his cave, Hephaestus remains resolute in his seclusion. He views Apollo as insincere and overly intrusive in his life, lacking authenticity in their interactions.
Hermes[]
Hermes: Hephaestus's half-brother.
Dionysus[]
Dionysus: Hephaestus's half-brother.
In the second game, Hephaestus doesn't appear to have such a strained relationship with him. He comments that his brother doesn't seem to be in the right place, probably intoxicated somewhere. Not everyone is passionate about what they are fighting for.
Hestia[]
Hestia: Hephaestus's maternal aunt.
Demeter[]
Demeter: Hephaestus's maternal aunt.
Poseidon[]
Poseidon: Hephaestus's paternal uncle.
Chthonic Gods[]
The gods of the underworld.
Melinoƫ[]
Melinoƫ: Hephaestus's cousin.
Hephaestus arrives, extending his offer to assist Melinoƫ, inquiring if she requires any repairs on her weapons. Known for his critical eye, he often scrutinizes the weaponry Melinoe wields, pointing out flaws and commenting on their imperfect craftsmanship. Initially reserved, Hephaestus keeps his distance; he harbors a disdain for magic, favoring manual craftsmanship, which occasionally earns Melinoƫ the nickname "little witch."
Over time, Hephaestus begins to realize that she isn't like her other relatives. He sees Melinoƫ's unique qualities, recognizing her genuine desire to help others without prying too much into their lives. Gradually, he opens up to her, sharing his insecurities about his artistry and family. When Melinoƫ's brother, Zagreus, sought his aid, Hephaestus hesitated, unwilling to entangle himself in another family dispute. Yet, he later regrets his decision and chooses to assist Melinoe, seeking personal redemption for his past actions concerning Zagreus.
Zagreus[]
Zagreus: Hephaestus's cousin.
Hephaestus didn't come to his aid in the first game, but it's implied that they met later. He seems to find Zagreus naive for thinking that the problems of their families would vanish overnight. Hephaestus recalls when Zagreus sought help from his family; at that time, he didn't assist as he was tired of family dramas and intrusions. Later, he felt guilty for staying out of it, indicating that perhaps Zagreus was worth considering, just like Melinoƫ.
The Titans[]
Chronos[]
Chronos: Hephaestus's paternal grandfather.
