Hecuba is a black hound companion of Hecate and a potential Animal Familiar for Melinoë.
Characteristics and Personality[]
Hecuba is loyal to Hecate, going out on patrols on her own and going as far as the Fields of Mourning alone.
She also pledges her loyalty to Melinoë, helping her in her quest.
Physical Description[]
Hecuba is a green-eyed black hound with a silver collar and golden bracelets on her front legs.
Hades II[]
Once Hecuba can start being recruited, she is typically found in the same area as Echo, standing guard in front of the gates to the next area.
Affinity[]
Like other Familiars, Hecuba possesses a tool function. She replaces the Silver Spade.
Bonds[]
After the initial Witch's Delight used to unlock her as a companion, further offerings can be used to strengthen bonds which make both of you stronger while together.
- Spirit Bond: While together, gain an extra +15/30/45/60
. - Earth Bond: Digging Spots appear +0/25/50/75% more often.
- Guard Bond: Hecuba stuns foes +0/15/30/45% more often

- Hecuba is the former Queen of Troy, wife of Priam, enslaved by Odysseus after the fall of Troy. She was transformed into a dog, in some versions after her death and in some to help her escape captivity.
- Hecuba is the fourth animal Melinoë has the option to turn into a familiar and equip.
- Unlike the first three familiars, Hecuba already belongs to Hecate who is only lending her to Melinoë for the time being.
- Hecuba is also formerly human. The first three familiars were presumably born as animals.
