Goldwraiths are animated sacks of gold that are common throughout Tartarus in Hades II.
Goldwraiths will wander briefly after spawning, then stop and fire a single beam that crosses the entire length of the chamber. The beam will appear red as the Goldwraith begins channeling, but it will only deal damage once it begins pulsating black and white (this occurs after a short delay). These beams will then rotate towards Melinoƫ, and deal small but rapid amounts of damage if she gets caught in their path.
Goldwraiths become dangerous in large groups due to the multiple crisscrossing beams limiting both movement and safe spots for Melinoƫ.
The mini-boss version of the Goldwraith is known as a Goldwrath.
Codex entry[]
'The Titan's love of gold is widely known. In fact, one of his first decrees as the usurper of the Underworld was to imprint his likeness onto shiny coins of that gaudy metal, and dispense them all throughout the realm; a means to signify his new ubiquity. Gold has its many uses, to be sure. More pliable than most other such materials, it can almost seem to take on a life of its own... though the Titan is to blame for the most literal of cases such as these.'
