Crossroads Renewal Project's interface, at the Melinoë's Tent.
“ | You already found your calling, as the best haunter in all the Crossroads, if not the entire world. The renewal project is simply a way to give something back to this place. | „ |
~ Melinoë to Dora |
The Crossroads Renewal Project, initiated by Melinoë and led by Dora, focuses on restoring The Crossroads and serves as the Decorations meta-progression system in Hades II. Melinoë entrusted this task to Dora while shifting her focus to the Titan Slayer duty, giving Dora, a Shade seeking purpose, a meaningful way to contribute.
Through the project, Melinoë provides Dora with Prestige,
Reagents,
Greeneries, and
Indulgences to decorate locations such as The Crossroads, Melinoë's Tent, Taverna, and the Training Ground, creating a welcoming haven for the Unseen and lost Shades. Dora can be found at these locations, where players can interact with her using Salutations to access the Renewal Project menu. This menu offers a catalog of decorative options, some requiring prior purchases to unlock.
Note: As of Early Access, these decorations are purely cosmetic, and some are not yet fully rendered or interactable.
Requirements[]
To begin the Crossroads Renewal Project, you must first unlock the Earthly Fortune Incantation by gifting Dora once. Then, trigger her unique interaction by playing the game and continuing to interact with her each night. (The second appearance of Moros signals you're on the right track.)
Engage with Dora until she begins questioning her purpose as a shade, while also obtaining over 40 progression upgrades. These upgrades include unlocking and enhancing the Incantation, Nocturnal Arms, Keepsakes, Animal Familiars, and strengthening your relationship with anyone. Once the Earthly Fortune Incantation is complete, Melinoë will approach Dora the following night to enlist her help with the Crossroads Renewal Project, officially unlocking it.
Decorations[]
The Crossroads Renewal Project offers three types of Decorations, each of which can be freely switched at any time:
- Plain Decor: Modest starting furnishings, You may switch this to Alt Decor of the same type.
- Alt Decor: Replaces something in the vicinity with a new look. You may always switch back.
- Extra Decor: Adds a new decorative touch in the vicinity. You may put it away if you wish.
Each Decoration is assigned a tier from 1 to 5. Players begin with access to Tier 1 items. Higher tiers unlock as you obtain more decorations:
- Tier 2: Unlocked 6 or more decorations
- Tier 3: Unlocked 15 or more decorations
- Tier 4: Unlocked 28 or more decorations
- Tier 5: Unlocked 45 or more decorations
Once the required number of decorations is obtained, the new tier will automatically become available the following night.
