Asphodel, once known as the Asphodel Meadows, is a desolate collection of rocky islands amidst a sea of fire beyond Tartarus. In Hades II, Chronos will send Melinoë to Asphodel when traversing through Oceanus. Unlike the first game, Apshodel serves as a bonus area similar to how Erebus was in the previous Hades.
Book of Shadows entry[]
Golden Ring[]
To leave Asphodel, you must activate the golden orb which will form a moving golden ring that you must stay on until it reaches a 100%. Once a 100% has been reached, you simply need to pick the chamber's reward and you will return to Oceanus. During this phase, enemies from Asphodel will start to spawn and attack you, it is recommended to avoid killing them as new enemies will constantly spawn.
Alternatively, you can simply activate the orb and let the ring drop to 0%, doing this will let you leave Asphodel quicker if you don't want to fight but you will receive no chamber reward.
